Dr. Roger S. McIntyre, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Roger McIntyre, MD, FRCPC is a Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. Named one of The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds by Clarivate Analytics (2014–2021), he has authored over 1200 publications on mood disorders and rapid-acting treatments.

He holds academic positions globally and has led major clinical guidelines, including those on ketamine use and the CANMAT guidelines for depression and bipolar disorder.

Dr. McIntyre is extensively involved in medical education. He is a highly sought-after speaker at both national and international meetings. He has received several teaching awards from the University of Toronto, Department of Psychiatry and has been a recipient of the joint Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA) / Council of Psychiatric Continuing Education Award for the Most Outstanding Continuing Education Activity in Psychiatry in Canada.

Dr. Gill has authored over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, contributing to advancing the field of psychiatric research. His academic and professional work emphasizes integrating clinical insight with translational science, with the goal of improving patient outcomes in mood disorders.

Lee Phan, MSc

Lee Phan, MSc is a seasoned clinical research professional with 12+ years of experience leading and operationalizing clinical trials across diverse therapeutic areas within Psychiatry. With a strong foundation in research methodology and trial execution, Lee has successfully overseen studies from early-phase development through late-phase programs, ensuring scientific rigor, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Throughout her career, Lee has played a central role in building high-performing study teams, administering rater training, and optimizing trial processes, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration between sponsors, investigators, and regulatory stakeholders. Lee's expertise spans protocol implementation, site management, data integrity oversight, vendor coordination, and risk mitigation.

Dr. Margarita Shekotikhina, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Margarita Shekotikhina is a staff psychiatrist at Trillium Health Partners and Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Her clinical practice spans emergency psychiatry, inpatient psychiatric care, and shared care models, with a subspecialty focus on IV ketamine for treatment-resistant mood disorders.

Dr. Shekotikhina completed her MD at Poznan University of Medical Sciences and her psychiatry residency at the University of Ottawa, where she served as chief resident. She is actively involved in clinical research with publications focused on treatment-resistant mood disorders and is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred psychiatric care.
